The role of Akerman in the role of Laurie Jupiter/Silk Spectre as a character in Watchmen is well-known. Akerman played Lara Axelrod on the notorious TV series Billions. The naked scenes she appeared in on Deplorability and Guardians are well-known. Akerman began her career as a fashion model, and later moved into acting. Since then she has appeared in a variety of TV and film shows. Her best-known roles include Silk Spectre II (in the film version of Watchmen) and Lara Axelrod (in the television show Billions).
